We truly felt at home were completely able to relax, disconnect and regain much needed energy. This was our second time there and the team is extremely hospitable, from beginning to end. The atmosphere, the lodge, surrounded in nature, fishing, hiking and learning all about the culture and history at Metepenagiag Heritage Park is a complete package. We have committed to returning regularly as this is a key spot to escape everyday stresses and just get away. Thank you all for your overwhelming hospitality and puppy care.

We (2 adults, 1 child) booked an overnight stay here for the eclipse in April 2024 and we were so glad we did! The building was well-kept and clean, including the beautiful common areas. We enjoyed our time in the spacious main lobby, where we were able to socialize with other guests, eat our continental breakfast, and enjoy the view of the river through the two-storey windows. Our room was on the smaller side, but tidy, and it had all the amenities we needed (the fluffy robes and slippers were great for our hot tub visits). Each room also has a piece of indigenous art acting as its centerpiece, which was fitting, given its ownership and setting in a reservation. The location feels a bit remote, but there's a well-stocked gas station nearby, and the city of Miramichi is less than 30 minutes away. We enjoyed our portion of the shared porch with river view, and had a magical time in the hot tub in the evening, looking up into the night sky. I will point out that they are child-friendly and dog-friendly, which we really appreciated. It would be beautiful here in summer, and I would happily come back to visit.

Keep coming back to this sanctuary. The location along the river is exactly the restful setting needed for a little fall get away. The log cabin is cozy, beautiful and kept superbly clean. The rooms also extremely clean, cute, cozy and perfectly maintained rustic relaxing spaces. The little breakfast nook in the lobby is a nice addition since my last visit. My bed and bedding were soft and really comfortable Now the staff!!!!! They could not do enough to ensure our comfort while staying here. They are so friendly, accommodating, helpful and hard working. Lovely lovely people that will keep you coming back.
